​Outside of work where can you find me?
Outdoors having some fun! Whether that is flying my paraglider over Blossom Valley, running/hiking trails with my dogs, or camping out in the roof tent I live to get outside and amongst nature.
 
Future vision of civil engineering for San Diego?
I would love for stormwater and drainage engineering combined with environmental planning to eventually create clean waterways throughout the city and county, especially the San Diego River. This would then create more habitat for our county’s wildlife and provide beautiful open spaces for the population to get out amongst nature (catching my theme?)
 
Favorite places you have visited?
I lived in New Zealand for a year and absolutely loved it. Not only are there many engineering jobs (hint hint) but New Zealanders and Maori are genuinely kind and the communal vibe is widespread throughout the country in all the little towns and cities. Then I cannot talk about New Zealand without mentioning the nature. From the beautiful sub-tropical north island to the vast Southern Alps there is nature of all types to enjoy. Also that is where I learned that paragliding was more of an accessible [and safe] sport than one would think!
