Under the direction of a Senior Bridge Engineer (Supervisor), a Caltrans Structure Representative typically oversees and manages various aspects related to the construction, maintenance, and inspection of transportation structures such as bridges, buildings, walls, barriers, drainage structures, sign structures and appurtenances. Responsibilities involve coordinating construction activities, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, reviewing project plans, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project completion while adhering to regulatory guidelines and specifications.
An Assistant Structure Representative is responsible for conducting inspection on the construction site, assessing the quality of workmanship, materials used, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
