PRESIDENT Tan Cao Bridge Engineer, Parsons tan.cao@parsons.com
Why YMF matters to you: I think it’s important to provide opportunities for others to network and connect with the community. It’s not always easy to do that on your own, especially if you’re new to the area. YMF has great people who volunteer their time and resources to facilitate those types of things so that others will benefit.
Outside of work, where can we find you? Hopefully traveling overseas with my wife. What’s the phrase – “Eat to live” or “Live to eat”? Well, it’s the latter for us because we’re always in search of the next best food experience. If it’s not that then I’m either in the backyard building or in the kitchen cooking.
What does your role in YMF involve? I’m obligated to report the financials to our officers each quarter and submit reports formally to our ASCE San Diego Section. But aside from that, the exciting part is brainstorming new ideas and funding the best ones our officers think will make the most impact to our membership.
